The second meeting of this year of the Coordination for Asylum, organized by the Croatian Law Centre, was held at the premises of the Croatian Red Cross. The meeting was organized within the framework of the project “Legal assistance and capacity building on access to the territory in Croatia” which is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR.  The meeting was held ahead of the beginning of the implementation of the Pact on Migration and Asylum and marking of World Refugee Day, providing an additional opportunity to recall the importance of protecting the rights of people on the move. The central topics of the meeting were the presentation of the National Asylum System Report for 2025 and the current amendments to the Law on International and Temporary Protection, which stem from the obligation to adapt Croatian legislation to the Pact on Migration and Asylum.

A representative of the Croatian Law Centre presented the National Asylum System Report for 2025, while representatives of the Ministry of the Interior presented the amendments to the Law on International and Temporary Protection.  The meeting concluded with a joint discussion among all participants regarding key novelties and challenges in the field of asylum and migration.  The National Asylum System Report for 2025 is available at the following link: https://www.hpc.hr/en/2026/06/17/2025-national-asylum-system-report/
