With the aim of empowering and educating the elderly in the Republic of Croatia about their rights related to the disposal of property and how to protect themselves during disposal, long-time associate and member of the Croatian Law Centre, mr.sc. Olga Jelčić, will hold the first of three scheduled online lectures. The lectures are intended for elderly people from all over Croatia, and the fisrt lecture will be held via the Zoom platform on May 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

The education will primarily include lectures on the rights and obligations arising from lifelong support contract (with transfer of property after death) and contract for support until death (with simultaneous transfer of property), how to conclude them and how to protect yourself in case of unforeseen situations, non-fulfillment contractual obligations and potential abuse of trust of the parties to the contract.

The trainings are conducted as part of the “Support Circles for the Elderly” project, which will be implemented by the Croatian Law Centre as a partner of the association Circles – Centre for Education, Counseling and Humanitarian Action, which is the project coordinator.
