The Croatian Law Centre, in cooperation with the UNHCR and the Ministry of the Interior, organized a one-day workshop for police officers on the topic “Access to the system of international protection and protection of vulnerable groups” in the premises of the “Josip Jović” Police School on April 24, 2024.
In addition to practical exercises, lectures were held on the topics – the human rights of migrants and access to the international protection system, recognition and protection of vulnerable groups, interviewing techniques of vulnerable groups, and responsibility of police officers for treatment of migrants, with reference to ECtHR practice. The lecturers were university experts in the field of asylum and migration.
