As part of a study visit, a delegation from the Ministry of Justice of Jordan and the Judicial Council of Jordan, led by His Excellency Judge Waleed Mohy Aldeen Yasin Kanakrieh, Secretary-General for Judicial Affairs, visited the Croatian Law Centre.

The study visit is part of the activities within the European Union project “Support to Access to Justice in Jordan”, implemented by the UN – International Organization for Migration (IOM) in close cooperation with the national justice sector institutions of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The project aims to strengthen access to legal aid services in Jordan, with a particular focus on the protection and support of vulnerable groups.

During the visit, discussions focused on the legislative framework regulating the legal aid system, with special emphasis on access to legal aid in the procedure for granting international protection. Representatives of the Croatian Law Centre presented examples of good practice and key challenges in the field of free legal aid, as well as experiences gained through their work on specific cases and projects.
