On Monday, May 6, 2024, an online meeting of member organizations of the EU Facing Facts network dedicated to responding to hate crime and hate speech was held.

At the meeting, the Facing Facts activities realized in the past period, as well as those forthcoming, were briefly presented:

• Two new online courses were created: Police Discrimination and Ethnic Profiling and Understanding and Responding to Online Hate Speech.

• Over the next six months, two existing online courses on bias indicators with a focus on police officers will be updated in order to adapt them to a wider audience.

• A policy briefing on the Digital Services Act (DSA) is being prepared, which aims to address the ambiguities and challenges arising from the DSA and the impact of this regulation on the suppression of hate speech.

• The results of research on the process of online learning in general were presented with the aim of better responding to the needs and influencing the motivation of the participants in the process of online learning.

During the meeting, the participants were informed about other relevant events and news in the field of public policies at the EU level. Finally, the future activities of the network for the year 2025 were discussed at the meeting in the context of the application for continued funding under the CERVProgramme of the European Union.
