A longstanding activity of the Croatian Law Centre is strengthening collaboration and networking among civil society organizations and other stakeholders in the asylum system by holding regular meetings of the Coordination for Asylum. Topics discussed at the Coordination meetings regularly include updates on the development of policies, legislation, and practices.
The first meeting in 2024 took place on March 20th, focusing on “The Right to Work – applicants for international protection”. The topic was introduced by representatives from the Ministry of the Interior, the Croatian Employment Service, and the Croatian Law Centre. Following their presentations, a discussion ensued during which participants shared their experiences, best practices, and challenges.
